The Department of Economics, Bharati College, was established in 1971. The programmes offered by the Department are designed to provide a general understanding of the functioning of the economic system and the role of institutions, groups, and regions within that system. It also endeavours to prepare the student for employment in the industry, professions, and government, or to pursue graduate work toward advanced degrees in economics or related fields.
