Programme course

The department offers Economics as a main subject in BA. Programme course, wherein the students study Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Economic Development and Policy for India. Further, the department offers several Skill Enhancement Courses to BA. Programme students, including Understanding Union Budget and Economic Survey, Research Methodology, Data Analysis, Basic Computational Techniques for Data Analysis. In addition to this, BA. (Hons.), BCom (Hons.), and BSc (Hons.) students can study Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economy-I and Indian Economy-II in Semester I, II, III and IV respectively, by opting for Economics as a Generic Elective subject. Concurrently, BA. Programme and BCom. Programme students get the opportunity to opt for Economics as a Generic Elective in final year, where they enrich their knowledge with the Issues in Economic Development, Indian Economy since 1947, Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
